I started my piano studio about 16 years ago; I am honored to have so much love and support from my students and their families. It is a beautiful experience to share the love of making music with my students, regardless of their age, background, etc.; we can all start from zero, from how to read the music letters as “ABC” to the depth of aesthetic and the better understanding of all styles of music. I am so grateful for this music journey my students shared with me that I continue to learn to grow as a musician and a music teacher, be inspired by every moment of teaching, and thrive as a better person to bring more beautiful music into this world.

I have been teaching music for almost 25 years since graduating with my Masters degree from UCLA department of music , and my Bachelor’s degree from Toho Gakuen School of Music in Tokyo Japan. I teach private piano lessons as well as flute lessons, and have also directed middle school band and ensembles, as well as teaching position as a music teacher in California. I absolutely love teaching the love of music and importance of music for the education of our children, and I have had years of wonderful teaching relationships with my students throughout the years !

She began learning piano at around age 5, earned her Master's Degree in Music Education with piano as her instrument from Herperger School of music of Arizona State University. She has taught piano lessons since year 2008. She teaches all levels all age groups. Teaching focus: techniques, sight reading, ear training, theory, music appreciation, repertoire building. Besides classical music, she embraces Jazz, Blues, popular songs, adaptions of film/animation/video games and other genres to keep students engaged in music exploration. I'm a traveling piano teacher! I started taking piano lessons when I was four years old and was classically trained for 12 years. I have very eclectic taste in music and appreciate everything from Classical to Blues and Pop to Ragtime. I've been teaching piano full time for about five years. I believe every student learns differently. I do my best to understand and communicate with my students in a way that best facilitates their progress. Being able to teach is a blessing in my life for which I'm very grateful. Music is a universal language and has the power to heal in many ways!

I am a passionate and dedicated piano teacher and vocal coach with a mission to ignite the love of music, confidence, and creativity in students of all ages. I have a degree in performing arts with a vocal emphasis with 7 years of teaching experience. I have over 10 years of training as a vocalist, pianist, songwriting and performance. I have traveled extensively both within the United States and abroad performing and teaching students of all ages. I am committed to empowering those that are seeking to find their unique voice and or aspiring pianists in their musical journey.

My favorite thing about teaching is connecting with each student to discover how their individual brain receives, processes and applies information. I began teaching private viola lessons over 30 years ago while still in high school. I went on to major in music ed for 2.5 years before changing my course of study and earning a BAE in Elementary Education with a fine arts emphasis. Over the years, I taught in many different settings, different ages and different levels. I currently offer private piano lessons primarily online with an option to come in-person periodically when needed. Most of my students are from the homeschool community and most of my lessons are scheduled between the hours of 10-2. I have been involved with homeschooling since 1991 when I started homeschooling as a High School Sophomore. I then helped school my 10 siblings. My 2 daughters have been exclusively schooled at home. One daughter is graduated and the other is finishing high school and pursuing a career in music performance. We are a neurodiverse family with both ADHD and ASD diagnoses. I am very familiar with neurodiversity and enjoy working with students, diagnosed or not, with ASD and ADHD symptoms. I know from experience that parents are the most valuable source of information for a teacher. My focus is always to support the goals of the parents while adjusting to the needs of the students. I love teaching piano and have been doing it for over 30 years. I try to keep learning fun, up-beat and positive while teaching scales, theory, composition, note-reading and other important fundamentals. I provide several performing opportunities such as recitals, competitions, duet ensembles and so on. Many of these opportunities are sponsored through Desert Valley Music Teachers' Association of which I have been a member for over 30 years. I have served on the board of this great organization in various capacities for many years. I love the growth that I have seen in my students as well as in my teaching because of our participation in DVMTA.

I am a piano teacher in Queen Creek. I have been teaching for 20 years, and teach all levels--even adults.

McKell was raised in Idaho. She started playing piano at 6 years old. She then began playing violin and joined orchestra in middle school. During high school she began to teach piano and violin students. While she was in college she joined the choirs and orchestra. 2020, she graduated college and started taking on piano and violin students. She has had many wonderful students the past couple years in Arizona. She has enjoyed the opportunity to share her love of music with others and loved owning a music business.  She has studied with Andy O’Brien and Radmila Stojanovic. She is currently studying with local teachers Erin Conrad (violin) and Julie Briggs (piano). She recently learned cello and viola so now she is teaching 4 instruments. She often volunteers her time helping with music in her church. She is currently the social media manager for Perseus Learning Center for Individuals with Autism. She enjoys thrift shopping, bowling, watching movies and Chick-fil-A.

I've loved playing the piano from an early age. I took private lessons for 13 years and my last teacher was German Tchernoivanov, who was a professor at the Moscow Conservatory. When I was 16 I started teaching neighbor children and have enjoyed teaching children, especially the very beginners. My husband also plays the piano and we enjoy playing duets together. Throughout my life I've gotten a lot of satisfaction from sitting at the piano with students and teaching them how to play. At the end of the lesson, I like to include a 5 min musical game that's reviewing music concepts in a fun way.
