Step Up To The Next ModelThe step up model is the CLP 875. We feel that the CLP 875 is the best value in the CLP lineup. It has most of the qualities of the 885 model but is priced closer to the 845. There are two primary differences between the CLP 845 and the CLP 875. The action and the speakers. For an addition $1200 you move from the Grand Touch-S (CLP 845) to Yamaha’s premier keyboard called the Grand Touch action (CLP 875). The touch on the grand Touch action is shocking when you first sit down to play it. It has all the nuances of an acoustic Yamaha grand and can accommodate the highest level of performance. It’s a piano you can grow into over the years and the better you get, the more you’ll be able to appreciate the quality. It also has an additional amplifier and additional speaker plus a transducer. The transducer functions like an actual soundboard where the speaker is mounted on actual wood like an acoustic soundboard. This makes the sound a lot richer, deeper, clearer and nuanced with more dynamic range. Kind of like moving from a baby grand to a concert grand.
