Spruce wood is used in the sound boards of Yamaha acoustic pianos because of its superior tone quality, and that same wood is used in the CLP-885 speaker cones. You will lose yourself in the sound of the updated binaurally-sampled CFX which is a totally immersive headphone experience. Selecting Voices and adjusting settings is easy using the intuitive touch screen user LCD interface.
Step Up To The Next ModelSTEP UP – NU1XA Hybrid or the CSP 295. Money is typically not a factor for this type of buyer. They are looking for the best touch and tone money can buy. As much as we love the 885, it doesn’t have the best touch and tone money can buy. That would be the NU1XA hybrid. The Hybrid has a fully acoustic action taken from the famous U1 upright and the most advanced speaker system of any digital. If you have it in the budget and you’re looking for the best, We would highly recommend making the jump to the hybrid. It’s the best of both worlds. $7799 (NU1XA) VS $6399 (CLP 885). It’s a big upgrade for another $1400. If that’s not in your budget, you may want to jump back down into the CLP 875 price point at $4999. It’s the best piano in the CLP lineup for the money.
